This is a Pancam color composite of the results of the second Opportunity RAT drilling, on the Guadalupe region of the El Capitan part of the outcrop. As at McKittrick for the first RAT hole, the RATting process at Guadalupe has generated a significant amount of fine-grained, reddish tailings as part of the drilling process. Pancam color and multispectral data show these tailings to be composed in part of fine-grained crystalline red hematite. This is an enhanced color composite generated from Pancam's L4 (600 nm), L5 (530 nm), and L6 (480 nm) filters. Jim Bell Pancam PEL
