Did you guess correctly? NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity's robotic "rodent," known informally as the "Rat," has nibbled seven holes in the slope of "Endurance Crater." Starting from the uppermost pictured (closest to the crater rim) to the lowest, they are: sol 138's "Tennessee," sol 143's "Cobblehill," sol 145's "Virginia," sol 148's "London," sol 151's "Grindstone," sol 153's "Kettlestone," and sol 161's "Drammensfjorden." Still not satiated, the Rat will continue to chew on fresh targets in the coming sols.
