This animated image shows the results of the Sol 4 airbag retraction.  The retraction caused the lander to tilt slightly (hence the movement of the soil in the background - note that the lander does not move).  The egress aid was raised in height slightly, suggesting that perhaps airbag material is accumulating under the egress aid.
