Overview of what I'll be talking about for the 2/26/04 press conference.

Drift deposits at the Spirit landing site: are they dunes or ripples?

1) Pancam of scene from the first couple of sols after landing.  These features can give insight to the wind direction and velocity as well as the material that is being moved by the wind.

2) Diagram of wind blown sediment

3) Cross sectional view of the dune and ripple bedforms.

4) Hazcam view of the bedform the analysis was performed on.

5) Pancam view of the same bedform.

6) Microscopic image of the trough area of the bedform.

7) Microscopic image of the crest area of the bedform.
